Senior Product Designer, Sportsbook

About the role

This Senior Product Designer will be the lead individual contributor for Magic Eden's new crypto sportsbook platform, Dicey. The role involves translating complex blockchain protocols and novel concepts into user-friendly sports betting experiences. You will be responsible for the entire design process, from user flows and wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes, ensuring the product vision aligns with business goals and user needs.

The position requires close collaboration with Product and Engineering leadership to align on roadmaps and prioritize design efforts, ensuring a cohesive user experience. Beyond hands-on design, you will also help elevate the team through mentorship, providing direct feedback and leading design critiques. Establishing and refining design processes to suit a fast-paced environment is also a key part of the role.

Magic Eden emphasizes an AI-native approach to design and development. This means moving beyond static Figma sign-offs, leveraging AI coding tools and LLM workflows to rapidly build, test, and ship functional prototypes. Success in this role means simplifying complex crypto concepts into intuitive user experiences within the sports betting domain.

• Define and drive the overall product design vision and strategy for our sports suite, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and user needs.
• Lead the design of major features and contribute directly with hands-on work including user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes.

• AI-Native Execution: We don't do slow, static Figma sign-offs. We operate completely AI-native, leveraging tools like Cursor and Claude Code to build, test, and ship high-fidelity functional prototypes at extreme velocity.

• 6+ years of experience in product design, with a proven track record of operating at a senior level (e.g., Senior, Lead, or Principal) with experience mentoring other designers.
• A basic understanding of crypto is required. You should have a foundational grasp of the space (e.g., how wallets or transactions work) and a curiosity to learn how to design for decentralized platforms.
• A deep enthusiasm for sports. A genuine passion for sports betting or the mechanics of sports markets is highly desirable.
• A compelling portfolio showcasing both exceptional, recent hands-on design work and your ability to lead complex projects. Your portfolio should reflect a high degree of visual craft and strategic thinking.
• A "builder" mindset, with a track record of operating with autonomy and thriving in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Proven ability to lead projects that simplify highly complex concepts into delightfully simple and intuitive user experiences.
• Expert proficiency in Figma and other modern design and prototyping tools.
• AI-First Tooling: Demonstrated experience or high comfort working with AI coding tools and LLM workflows to prototype interactive interfaces rapidly.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and build consensus from the team level to the executive level.
