  • Monitoring, patrolling, and access control:
  • Conduct periodic patrols in designated areas, verify and identify access points, enforce internal security procedures.
  • Monitor and report any incidents or irregular situations, using CCTV and other security technology.
  • Incident investigation and emergency response:
  • Respond promptly to security breaches, thefts, fire attempts, or medical emergencies, following company protocols and legal provisions.
  • Prepare clear reports of investigations and findings, coordinating with the Security Supervisor on necessary corrective measures.
  • Supervision of security equipment:
  • Periodically verify the proper functioning of surveillance systems, alarms, and access control devices; report failures or maintenance needs.
  • Ensure order, maintenance, and proper use of assigned equipment (e.g., communication radios, uniform supplies, etc.).
  • Reports and compliance:
  • Draft daily or weekly reports (as applicable) on incidents, unusual activities, and preventive actions, ensuring traceability of information.
  • Strictly comply with the law and guidelines established by the Superintendence of Surveillance and Private Security (SVSP), in accordance with Decree Law 356 of 1994 and other current regulations.
  • Collaboration, training, and development:
  • Work closely with the security team and Security Supervisor to implement security plans, programs, and policies.
  • Participate in continuous training sessions on security procedures, emergency handling, customer service, and regulatory updates.
  • Confidentiality and data protection:
  • Handle any sensitive or confidential company information with discretion, complying with national legislation (Law 1581 of 2012) and internal policies on personal data processing.
  • Minimum Education and Training:
  • At least Academic High School.
  • Technical or Technologist would be an advantage.
  • Private Security and Surveillance course approved by a recognized academy and certified by the SVSP, with a valid credential or certification not older than five (5) months, as required by Decree Law 356 of 1994 and Decree 1070 of 2015.
  • License and Accreditations:
  • Security Guard credential issued by the SVSP, legally enabling the position of guard in Colombia and Operator of Technological Means (OMT).
  • Competency certificates in the use of technological means (CCTV, communication radios, etc.) when applicable.
  • Experience:
  • At least 2 years of experience in private security and surveillance (preferably in corporate environments and with experience in internal and external customer service).
  • History of compliance and knowledge of access control procedures, CCTV handling, and incident response.
  • Flexibility:
  • Flexibility and availability to work rotating 12-hour shifts (day and/or night), including weekends and holidays, ensuring 24/7 coverage as operational needs require.
  • Background Check:
  • Willingness to provide authorization for judicial and security background checks (no criminal or disciplinary records), in line with SVSP regulations.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Competence and familiarity in operating and monitoring security systems (e.g., CCTV, alarms, access control).
  • Solid knowledge of risk identification protocols and incident response.
  • Ability to manage and maintain security records and documentation.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify security risks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergencies.
